   Drive from Moshi or Arusha to Machame Gate (about 1.5–2 hours) and begin the trek through dense rainforest with moss-covered trees and vibrant birdlife.

4. Jour 4Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

   Climb the iconic Barranco Wall, then hike over ridges and through valleys to Karanga Camp.

   Ascend to base camp for summit night, with an early dinner and sleep.

   Wake around midnight and begin the challenging climb to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro, then descend to Mweka Camp.
